To Proudly Go Featured in Beam Me Up, Sulu Documentary!
We’re thrilled to share some exciting news from the To Proudly Go family!
To Proudly Go has been included in the new documentary Beam Me Up, Sulu — a powerful feature film that revisits a long-lost Star Trek fan film from the 1980s and celebrates the passion, diversity, and community of Star Trek fandom.
Beam Me Up, Sulu chronicles how actor George Takei joined a group of fans to make a student film in 1985 — footage that was thought lost for nearly four decades before being rediscovered. The documentary goes beyond fan history and explores themes of representation, resilience, and inclusion that have been central to the Star Trek legacy.
