To the To Proudly Go Community:

Still, after a combined residency between Barracuda Lounge and Industry Bar spanning 4.5 years, we have so much to be proud of. In that time, we produced 189 shows, built an incredible community of Trekkies and queer nightlife lovers, and created a space where drag, fandom, and activism could exist side by side. Week after week, we welcomed audiences who came not only for the entertainment, but for the joy, connection, and belonging that this series became known for.

Because of these events—and because of the support of venues that gave us the room to do this work—To Proudly Go has raised over $15,000 for charity, supporting LGBTQ+ organizations and causes that matter deeply to our mission. What started as a niche idea became something far bigger: a weekly gathering that brought people together, amplified queer artists, and proved that nightlife can also be a force for good.

We were originally told that the show would be placed on a break due to scheduling conflicts and the closure of Elmo Restaurant (Industry’s sister establishment), and that it would return sometime in April. However, we were later informed that the show was cancelled entirely. We were not given a reason for the decision.

Even so, we want to express our sincere appreciation for the opportunities we’ve had over the years at both Barracuda and Industry. We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Barracuda staff and management, and to Industry’s bar staff, for their collaboration, dedication, and support of our events over the years. Week after week, your hard work helped make these shows possible, and we are truly grateful.

And most importantly, thank you to our performers and our DJs—past and current—who brought these shows to life. Your talent, creativity, and dedication are the reason this series became what it was. You helped turn a weekly theme night into something truly special, and you made Star Trek feel even more expansive, joyful, and queer than it already is.

Quite honestly, without venues like these allowing us the space to do this work, To Proudly Go would never have been able to accomplish what it has.

This is not the end. We fully intend to find a new home soon. Stay tuned.

Live Proud and Prosper ❤️🧡🖖💚💙💜🖖🏾
