To Proudly Go Celebrates the Finale of Starfleet Academy with Karim Diané and Jackie Cox

On a night filled with joy, fandom, and community spirit, To Proudly Go proudly hosted our finale celebration of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy — and what an incredible evening it was.

Our audience came together to celebrate not only the conclusion of the season, but the heart of what Star Trek has always represented: hope, inclusion, resilience, and chosen family.

This finale event was especially meaningful because we were honored to welcome two unforgettable special guests: Karim Diané and Jackie Cox, who helped make the night truly feel like a once-in-a-lifetime Starfleet gathering.

A Show That Felt Like a Celebration of Community

From the moment doors opened, the room was buzzing. Trek fans, queer community members, longtime supporters, and first-time attendees packed in together — laughing, cheering, and embracing the unique magic that happens when fandom and nightlife collide.

For so many of us, Starfleet Academy represents the continuation of Star Trek’s ongoing evolution: new characters, new stories, and a universe that continues to grow more reflective of the world we live in.

And at To Proudly Go, that mission is personal. We don’t just celebrate Star Trek — we use it as a platform to uplift queer art, support queer causes, and create a space where everyone feels like they belong.

Jackie Cox Brings Starfleet Glamour to the Stage

Jackie Cox delivered a performance that was equal parts hilarious, dazzling, and heartfelt — reminding us exactly why she’s one of the most beloved performers in the drag world.

With her signature charm and polished theatricality, Jackie lit up the room and gave the audience a performance that felt like it came straight from the Holodeck: campy, glamorous, and deeply joyful.

People weren’t just watching — they were living it.

Karim Diané Joins the Crew

We were also thrilled to welcome Karim Diané, who plays Jay-Den Kraag on Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.

Karim’s presence was deeply special for fans — not only because he is part of the Star Trek legacy now, but because he showed up with warmth, humor, and genuine appreciation for the community that embraces this franchise so passionately.

Seeing the excitement in the room when Karim appeared was one of those moments that reminded us why these events matter. Star Trek isn’t just entertainment — for many of us, it’s a lifeline, a philosophy, and a vision of a better future.

The Fan Reaction: Pure Love

Following the event, social media was flooded with posts from attendees sharing photos, videos, and emotional reactions to the night.

Fans described the show as:

The overwhelming reaction was clear: this finale event wasn’t just a viewing party — it was a shared experience, and a reminder that the To Proudly Go community continues to thrive because of the people who show up, support one another, and keep building something beautiful together.

A Finale That Meant More Than an Ending

As the finale aired and the night unfolded, it was impossible not to feel how much this series — and this fandom — means to so many people.

Even in moments when the future of a show feels uncertain, what remains constant is the community that Star Trek inspires. And our mission remains unchanged: to continue creating queer-centered Trek events that bring people together and raise funds for causes that matter.

Thank You for Being Part of This Journey

To everyone who attended, performed, supported, shared posts, tipped the performers, brought friends, and helped us fill the room with love: thank you.

And to Jackie Cox and Karim Diané — thank you for joining us, celebrating with us, and helping make this finale night one for the history books.

We look forward to continuing to boldly go with you all.

Live long and prosper. ❤️🧡🖖💚💙💜🖖🏾
